|  | Jiro Yoshida was born in Japan.He began formal studies on classical piano and guitar at age 5.Both his parents gained prestige in the japanese traditional arts world. They always encouraged him to be an artist.Influenced from an early age by the great Jazz masters he heard on records, he began developing his own musical heritage and style. Diversity and versatility, are key in describing his music.He came to the United States in 1983 on a Government scholarship to continue his studies in contemporary music. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1990, and was also a faculty member from 1988-90. Jiro moved to New York City in 1990 to explore the music scene.His talents are revealed in more than 100 albums, ranging from Classical, Jazz, R&B to Rap music. His genius is not only guitar, but also in composition, arrangement, and musical production. His discipline, dedication and honesty make him a leading artist in the competitive and complex music world.
